Marilyn Dement

Marilyn Dement, Ed.D., currently serves as the Associate Director of Graduate Studies at the University of Houston-Downtown, overseeing graduate programs in Professional Accountancy and Security Management. With extensive experience in higher education administration, Marilyn has held various leadership roles, including Federal Grant Peer Reviewer for the U.S. Department of Education and Associate Vice President for Academic Affairs at American International College, Kuwait. Additional positions include Vice President of Student Services at Alvin Community College and Dean of Student Services at City Colleges of Chicago - Truman College. Marilyn holds a Doctor of Education in Higher Education Administration from Texas Tech University, a Master of Arts in Human Sciences from Our Lady of the Lake University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Texas State University.
