Taylor Smith

Taylor Smith, M.A., currently serves as the Assistant Director of Graduate Studies and Academic Success Coordinator at the University of Houston-Downtown since June 2023. Prior to this, Taylor held the position of Student Development and Recruitment Administrator at Rice University from September 2022 to May 2023, where responsibilities included administering graduate student recruitment programs and managing social media communications. Experience as an Academic Coach at Alvin Community College involved facilitating support for at-risk students, while work at San Jacinto College as an Educational Planner and Adjunct Faculty focused on enhancing communication strategies and promoting student development. Taylor's earlier positions include Admissions Specialist I at Lamar Institute of Technology, as well as contributing writing roles with various media organizations, showcasing strong journalism and research skills.
