Denise Wilson

Denise Wilson serves as the Chair of the Board of Trustees at Girlguiding since May 2024 and as a Council Member at the University of Hull since September 2019, where Denise also chairs the Remuneration Committee. Previously, Denise was the Chief Executive of the FTSE Women Leaders Review from September 2011 to April 2024, overseeing initiatives to enhance women's representation on FTSE 350 Boards. Denise's extensive experience includes serving on the Board of Ecclesiastical Insurance UK from 2010 to 2018, chairing the Remuneration Committee, and holding the position of Trustee at Benefact Trust. Additionally, Denise chaired the Royal Academy of Arts Friend's Board from 2008 to 2018 and held various leadership roles at National Grid from 2001 to 2011, including Customer Experience & Commercial Director and Global Transformation Director. Denise began a career at BG Group, focusing on investor relations and corporate treasury roles, and holds an Honorary Doctorate from the University of Hull, awarded in 2018, along with a BA Hons in Languages.
