Melissa Upfield

Melissa Upfield has a diverse work experience in the field of procurement. Melissa is currently the Head of Procurement at the University of Hull since January 2021. Prior to this, they worked at KCOM Group from 2008 to 2020, where they held various roles including Head of Procurement and Senior Procurement Manager. In these roles, Melissa was responsible for managing supplier strategy, reducing the number of suppliers, and ensuring value for money in IT software and hardware purchases. Before KCOM Group, they worked as a Senior Buyer at the company from 2008 to 2012. Melissa's earlier work experience includes being a Purchasing Manager at MKM Building Supplies from 2007 to 2008.

From 2005 to 2010, Melissa Upfield pursued a degree in Purchasing, Procurement/Acquisitions and Contracts Management through self-study. Melissa successfully completed their studies and obtained a degree called MCIPS.
