Andy Nelson

Andy Nelson is a highly experienced professional with a robust background in engineering and management within the U.S. Army Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC), holding positions such as Director of the Construction Engineering Research Laboratory and Technical Director for Infrastructure Science & Engineering. As a member of the Senior Executive Service, responsibilities include overseeing research initiatives and international collaborations. Andy Nelson also contributes to academia as an Adjunct Research Professor at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and as a board member at Illinois State University's College of Engineering. An accomplished scholar, Andy Nelson holds a Ph.D. and a Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering, complemented by a Bachelor's degree in Physics from Illinois Wesleyan University.
