Brenda Welch

Brenda Welch has extensive experience in the food service industry, currently serving as the Assistant Director of Dining Services for Employment and Training at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign since August 2015. In this role, Brenda is responsible for facilitating employee succession, DEI trainings, and enhancing culinary and management training programs. Previously, Brenda managed food services as a Food Service Administrator at Lincoln Avenue Residence Hall and served as Food Administrator III and Chef for Busey Evans Residence Hall. Brenda's career in the culinary field began as Garde Manger and Sous Chef at the University of Illinois from January 2006 to August 2011. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in International Studies with a focus on Economics and German from Eastern Illinois University and a Bachelor of Science in Foods, Nutrition, and Related Services from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
