Colleen King

Colleen King currently serves as the Director of The Frank Center for Leadership and Innovation in Media and Clinical Assistant Professor of Journalism at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign since February 2022. Prior to this role, Colleen had a distinguished career at MSNBC from March 2005 to October 2019, holding positions such as Executive Producer and Senior Producer for various prominent programs. Colleen's earlier experiences include working as an Associate Producer and Booker at Fox News Channel and a Broadcast Associate at CBS News. Colleen earned a Master of Arts in Journalism & Mass Communication with a concentration in Journalism Education from Kent State University and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Communication from The George Washington University, complementing a foundational education at Hathaway Brown School.
