Erin Kirby currently serves as the Senior Director of Advancement for University Initiatives and Campaign Strategy at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, a position held since May 2009, where responsibilities include comprehensive oversight of the advancement program with a focus on major gifts for the Departments of Physics, Materials Science and Engineering, and Nuclear, Plasma and Radiological Engineering. Previously, Erin was the Senior Director of Advancement for Research Institutes, managing advancement for the Departments of Physics and Industrial and Enterprise Systems Engineering. Earlier experience includes serving as Assistant Director of Advancement at the University of Illinois Foundation and Director of Stewardship for Principal Gifts. Erin holds a Master’s Degree in Higher Education Administration from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and a Bachelor's Degree in Journalism and Business from Miami University.
