Felipe Menanteau is a distinguished Senior Research Scientist at the National Center for Supercomputing Applications since 2021 and has been a Research Associate Professor in the Department of Astronomy at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign since 2013. With prior experience as a Research Associate/Astronomer at Rutgers University from 2006 to 2013 and an Associate Research Scientist at Johns Hopkins University from 2002 to 2006, Felipe has a strong background in observational cosmology, particularly focusing on the Sunyaev-Zeldovich effect. Additionally, Felipe served as a Gemini Fellow at Carnegie Observatories from 2000 to 2002. Education includes a PhD in Astrophysics from the University of Cambridge (1996-2000) and a Licenciado en Fisica in Physics from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile (1996-2010).
