Gioconda Guerra Perez

Gioconda Guerra Perez has extensive experience in higher education, currently serving as the Executive Associate Vice Chancellor for Diversity at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign since August 2013, where roles have also included Assistant Vice Chancellor for Diversity and Academic Inclusive Excellence and Director. Prior experience includes positions as Visiting Assistant Professor and Socio Cultural Specialist at Indiana University Southeast from November 2009 to July 2013. Gioconda Guerra Perez holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Higher Education/Organizational Development from the University of Louisville, awarded in 2009, and a Master of Arts (M.A.) in Sociology and Communications from the same institution, obtained in 2003.
