Kabir D. Cheema

Kabir D. Cheema is an undergraduate student pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, with additional studies at ISAE-SUPAERO. Currently, Kabir works as an Undergraduate Research Assistant in the Advanced Controls Research Lab, focusing on optimal control and flight dynamics. Previous experience includes roles at Astranis Space Technologies as a Guidance, Navigation, and Control Intern, where responsibilities included control algorithm validation and satellite autonomy development. Additional roles encompass trajectory optimization research and software engineering in the field of guidance and control, as well as a co-op position in electrification engineering at Caterpillar Inc. Kabir has also held leadership positions in student organizations and demonstrated versatility through diverse roles, including tutoring and sales.
