Phil Bergman has a diverse work experience in various sports-related roles. Phil is currently working as the Associate Athletics Director of Creative Services & Broadcasting at the University of Illinois Chicago Athletics. Phil has experience in reporting, anchoring, and producing sports news and shows. Phil has also worked as a Reporter/Anchor and Weekend Sports Anchor/Reporter at KMTV 3 News Now and as a Sports Reporter at KLKN-TV.
In addition to their broadcasting roles, Phil has experience in university settings. Phil worked as a Teaching Assistant and President/Director of Lacrosse Operations at the University of Missouri-Columbia. Phil also held internships and staff positions with various organizations such as Agencia Catalana de Noticias Barcelona, University of Missouri-Columbia, and Patriot Games Lacrosse Tournament.
Throughout their career, Phil has demonstrated skills in communication, multimedia content creation, budget management, and team coordination.
Phil Bergman earned a Bachelor's Degree in Journalism from the University of Missouri-Columbia, where they studied from 2012 to 2016. Phil later pursued a Master's Degree in Sports Administration with a focus on Sport and Fitness Administration/Management at Ohio University, attending from 2019 to 2021. Prior to their college education, Phil attended Strath Haven High School from 2008 to 2012.

The University of Illinois Chicago's Department of Intercollegiate Athletics is an NCAA Division I athletic program sponsoring 300 student-athletes across 18 sports competing in the Missouri Valley Conference.
