Adrianus L. G. Waworuntu

Adrianus Waworuntu is an experienced academic in the field of Chinese Studies, currently serving as a lecturer at the University of Indonesia since April 1985, specializing in Modern and Classical Chinese as well as Chinese Historiography. Waworuntu held various administrative roles at Universitas Indonesia, including Dean of the Faculty of Cultural Sciences from December 2013 to December 2021, Secretary of the Regional Studies Department from 2011 to 2013, and Non-Academic Vice Dean and Head of the Chinese Studies Program from 1999 to 2008. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Philosophy in Chinese Intellectual History from the University of Indonesia, a Master of Philosophy in Asian Studies from Murdoch University, a Master of Arts in Regional Studies focused on East Asia: China from Harvard University, and both a Bachelor of Arts and a Sarjana Sastra in Chinese History from the University of Indonesia.
