Evangelos Briasoulis

Evangelos Briasoulis serves as the Director of the Academic Department of Haematology at Ioannina University Hospital since 2002, where significant contributions include establishing a clinical trials unit that participates in international studies, enhancing the Hematology Research Lab's capabilities, and publishing clinical management protocols. In collaboration with Dr. Eleftheria Hatzimichael, advancements include integrated biobanking for multiple myeloma and acute leukemias, and organizing annual conferences focused on Hematology. Additionally, Evangelos Briasoulis has achieved membership for the department in the European LeukemiaNet and the European Organization for Research and Treatment of Cancer. As a Professor of Oncology, Evangelos Briasoulis has taught various subjects related to cancer and has supervised numerous postgraduate students. A brief tenure as a visiting scientist at the Computational Medicine Center at Jefferson Medical College further reflects scholarly engagement. Evangelos Briasoulis earned an MD in Medicine from Ethnikon kai Kapodistriakon Panepistimion Athinon between 1975 and 1981.
