Sarah Tierney, PharmD, BCPPS, has extensive experience in pediatric clinical pharmacy services at the University of Iowa Health Care since 2007, currently serving as the Assistant Director of Acute Care Adult and Pediatric Clinical Pharmacy Services and Residency Program Director for the PGY2 Pharmacy Residency in Pediatrics. Sarah successfully designed and developed a specialty residency program, achieving an ASHP-Accreditation status of 8 years. Previously, Sarah worked as a Clinical Pharmacy Manager overseeing clinical services for various pediatric specialties and led the design of real-time workflow dashboards to optimize drug use. As a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Clinical Pharmacy Specialist, Sarah implemented clinical practice guidelines that significantly decreased antibiotic usage and reduced clinical sepsis events. Sarah's early career includes experience as a Management Engineer at Procter & Gamble, where efficient operations in raw material management were realized. Sarah holds a PharmD from the University of Iowa College of Pharmacy and dual BS degrees in Chemical Engineering from Iowa State University and UCL.
