Nicole del Castillo

Nicole Del Castillo, MD MPH, currently serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor and Chief Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Officer at Carle Illinois College of Medicine since August 2023. Prior to this role, Nicole has held multiple positions at the University of Iowa Roy J. and Lucille A. Carver College of Medicine, including Clinical Adjunct Professor and Director of the Office of Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion since December 2019. Nicole's experience also includes participating in the Commonwealth Fund Mongan Fellowship in Minority Health Policy at Harvard Medical School from July 2015 to June 2016 and serving as a Research Fellow at Rutgers University from September 2014 to June 2015. Educational background includes a Master's degree in Public Health from Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, along with a Doctor of Medicine from the University of Iowa and a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
