Keith Smith

Keith Smith currently serves as a Senior Research Associate at the KU Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center, one of 33 nationally designated centers by the National Institute on Aging, focusing on brain health support and research. Previously, Smith held the position of Research Services Program Manager at the Linda Crnic Institute for Down Syndrome from October 2021 to April 2024 and served as a Senior Professional Research Assistant from November 2015 to October 2021, conducting comprehensive studies on individuals with Trisomy 21. Earlier experience includes a role as a Professional Research Assistant at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus, focusing on genomics related to pulmonary fibrosis and asthma, and as a Research Technician at the Stowers Institute for Medical Research, providing genome sequencing support. Smith earned a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from William Jewell College in 2007.
