Sandra A Billinger is a distinguished academic and researcher currently serving as Vice Chair of Stroke Translational Research and Professor at the University of Kansas Medical Center since July 2020. Billinger also holds the role of Co-Director of the Brain Health Training Program at the KU Alzheimer's Disease Research Center and serves as Neurovascular Division Director at the KU Alzheimer’s Disease Center. With extensive experience as Director of the Research in Exercise And Cardiovascular Health (REACH) Laboratory since 2010, Billinger's research focuses on cardiovascular physiology, brain aging, and stroke recovery. Billinger's academic journey includes prior roles as Associate Professor and Assistant Professor at the University of Kansas Medical Center, alongside an impressive educational background culminating in a PhD in Rehabilitation Science.
