Marilyn Al-Hassan

Director, Ontario & Victorville Campuses at University of La Verne

Marilyn Al-Hassan is the current director of the Ontario and Victorville campuses at the University of La Verne. Marilyn has extensive experience in academic leadership and administration, most recently serving as campus president at Argosy University from 2014 to 2019. Prior to that, they were the assistant vice president of academic affairs at Argosy University/Inland Empire Campus from 2006 to 2009. During their time at Argosy, they were responsible for overseeing faculty training, managing campus student and program assessment processes, conducting department and instructional reviews, observing instructors, and providing timely constructive feedback. Marilyn also recruited, trained, and managed faculty and staff, and was instrumental in increasing the number of dissertation completions by hiring and training qualified research instructors. In addition to their work at Argosy, Marilyn has also served as program chair for the College of Education and Interim Program Chair for Undergraduate, Business, and Counseling Psychology Programs. Marilyn has been a Higher Learning Commission Accreditation Committee Chairperson and led their campus' self-study and preparation for Higher Learning Commission site visits on multiple occasions.

Marilyn Al-Hassan has a Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy/Counseling from Phillips Graduate University and an Ed.D from University of Sarasota/ Argosy University.

They work with Adam Wu - Director of Undergraduate Admission, Alison Rodriguez-Balles - Director, ROC Orange County, and Michael Stadler - Director, Military Campuses & Oxnard Campus. Marilyn Al-Hassan reports to Devorah Lieberman, President.
