Alessandro Brunelli

Alessandro Brunelli serves as a Thoracic Surgeon Consultant at Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust since February 2014 and holds the position of Honorary Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Leeds. As a prominent figure within the European Society of Thoracic Surgeons, Alessandro has held multiple leadership roles, including Past President, President, Secretary General, and Director of Database and Audit. From March 2000 to February 2014, Alessandro was the Chief of the Section of Minimally Invasive Thoracic Surgery and Vice Director of Thoracic Surgery at Ospedali Riuniti Ancona. Additional experience includes a Visiting Clinician program at Mayo Clinic and various visiting physician roles at prestigious institutions such as the University of California San Diego, Washington University, and Duke University. Alessandro obtained an MD in Medicine from Facoltà di Medicina e Chirurgia Università degli Studi di Ancona and specialized in Thoracic Surgery at the Department of Thoracic Surgery University of Ancona.
