Andrea Kerslake

Andrea Kerslake currently serves as the Assistant Head of Student Support at the University of Leeds since May 2022, having also held the position of Head of Help and Support at Leeds University Union since July 1994. In these roles, Andrea collaborates with senior leadership and stakeholders to advocate for student interests in areas related to advice, emotional, and mental health wellbeing. Andrea has experience in identifying service gaps and enhancing policies to improve the student experience. Previously, as an Advice Manager, Andrea led a team providing specialized student support and developed partnership projects to secure funding for student-led initiatives. Additionally, Andrea is a Founder Trustee of Elliot's Footprint, a charity established in memory of a son, focusing on strategic development. Andrea's educational background includes a BA Hons in Social Studies from The Manchester Metropolitan University.
