Jerrel Jackson is the Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Powered by CAN, an organization dedicated to enhancing the lives of children and young people through access to cultural education, creative practices, and civic leadership. Since February 2013, Jerrel has led initiatives aimed at ensuring children can engage with various forms of arts, culture, and sport. In addition to this role, Jerrel serves on multiple boards and committees, including the Arts Council England's Place-Based Peer Learning Steering Group, Arts Committee Board for Midland Metropolitan University Hospital, and Sandwell Cultural Education Partnership. Jerrel's educational background includes a Master's degree in Arts Pedagogy, Performance Making, Anthropology, and Cultural Policy from the University of Chichester, as well as ongoing doctoral studies in Education at the University of Worcester.
