Julie Aspden is a prominent researcher in the field of biochemistry, currently serving as a Principal Investigator and University Academic Fellow in RNA at the University of Leeds since August 2015. Prior to this role, Julie Aspden was a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Sussex, focusing on the translation of small ORFs in Drosophila from January 2012 to July 2015. Earlier experience includes a postdoctoral position at UC Berkeley, where Julie Aspden worked on pre-mRNA splicing in Drosophila under the supervision of Professor Don Rio from November 2006 to October 2011.
