Rachel Brealey

Rachel Brealey is the current Chief Operating Officer at University of Leeds. Rachel has over 20 years of experience working in higher education, including previous positions such as Head of Faculty Administration, Life Sciences at University of Manchester and Project Manager, Corporate Services. In their current role, Rachel is responsible for leading and managing the University’s central support services, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services to students, staff, and visitors.

Rachel Brealey completed a BSc in Clothing Engineering and Management at UMIST.

They are on a team with Julia Bennell - Executive Dean of the Faculty of Business, Andrew Thorpe - Executive Dean of the Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Cultures, and Nick Plant - Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Research and Innovation. Rachel Brealey reports to Jane Francis, Chancellor.
