Robert Dewar

Robert Dewar, FCMA, CGMA has a diverse work experience spanning multiple companies and roles. Robert began their career at Unilever in 1987, where they worked as the European Supply Chain Finance Director for deodorants and oral products for almost two decades. After leaving Unilever in 2006, Dewar joined the e-Reporting (e-Witness) Group as the Group Financial Controller for a brief period in 2007. Later that same year, they started working at Aviva plc, where they held various positions such as Head of Finance Business Partnering and Business Manager to the Chief Finance Officer. Dewar joined Barnsley College in 2015 as a Governor before moving to Sheffield Hallam University in 2013, where they served as the Assistant Director of Management Accounting and later as the Deputy Director of Finance. Most recently, since 2017, they have been with the University of Leeds, initially as the Head of Finance Facilities Directorate and then as the Director of Finance, Operations & Services.

Robert Dewar, FCMA, CGMA completed their BA Honors degree in Zoology/Animal Biology from the University of Oxford from 1983 to 1987. Additionally, during the same period, they pursued A-Levels in Maths, Further Maths, Biology, and Chemistry at Winchester College.
