Simge Aslan is a Lecturer in Business Law at the University of Leeds since September 2025 and previously served as a Teaching Associate and PhD Researcher at the University of Nottingham from September 2019 to September 2025, focusing on Distributed Ledger Technologies and their implications on commercial and insolvency laws. Prior experience includes working as an Associate at Legal Attorneys & Counselors from November 2016 to September 2019, specializing in Competition Law, Corporate and Commercial Law, and the Law of Contracts, as well as roles as a Legal Trainee and Law Intern in various firms. Simge Aslan holds a PhD from the University of Nottingham, an LLM in International Commercial Law from the same institution, and an LLB from Özyeğin University, complemented by a background in education at Deutsche Schule Istanbul.
