Austin J. Ruddy has a diverse work experience that spans several industries. Austin J. started their career in 1998 at the Leicester Mercury as an Advertising Call Handler and eventually worked their way up to become a Multimedia Journalist. During their time at the Leicester Mercury, they also took on additional responsibilities as a Student Work Experience Coordinator and a Newsdesk Administrator.
In 2005, Austin worked as a Freelance Writer for the BBC and G.E. Fabbri, where they contributed to a DVD/magazine partwork of the TV comedy series Dad's Army.
Recently, Austin has been employed at the University of Leicester as a Partnerships Coordinator & Marketing Lead in the School of Education. Prior to that, they worked as an Administrative Assistant in the same department.
Additionally, since 2017, Austin has been working as a Freelance Writer for Britain At War magazine and has published a book titled "The Home Front 1939-1945 In 100 Objects" through Frontline Books/Pen & Sword Ltd.
Austin J. Ruddy attended the University of Leicester from 1992 to 1996, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Archaeology. Prior to their university studies, they attended Highgate Senior School in London from 1986 to 1992, completing 3 A-Levels and 10 GCSEs. Austin J. also attended Highgate Junior School from 1981 to 1986. Austin J. Ruddy also obtained certifications in information technology from NVQ, including RSA/NVQ 2 in Microsoft Excel and RSA/NVQ 1 in Microsoft Word in 1998.
