Clare Edwards has a diverse work experience in research and development, project management, and consultancy. Clare is currently the Head of Research and Partnership Development at the University of Leicester since 2022. Prior to this role, they worked as a Research Development Manager at Loughborough University from 2016 to 2022. Clare also briefly served as an Interim CCG Programme Manager at Loughborough University in 2021. Before joining Loughborough University, Clare worked as a Project Development Manager at G & H Associates, specializing in grant funding for research and development. Clare was an EU Projects Manager at De Montfort University from 2012 to 2014 and held various roles at Pera Technology, including Research Associate and Innovation Consultant, from 2008 to 2012. Clare also has experience as an Energy Advisor at the Energy Saving Trust in 2008.

Clare Edwards obtained a BSc in Environment, Economics, and Ecology from the University of York in 2006. In 2007, they completed their MSc in Environmental Science and Management from the same university, achieving a distinction. Currently, Clare is pursuing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree at Loughborough University, expected to be completed in 2023.
