Josh Heird

VP & Director, Athletics at University of Louisville

Josh Heird is currently the Vice President and Director of Athletics at the University of Louisville. Prior to this, they worked as a Box Office Supervisor at Churchill Downs Incorporated from April 2016 to December 2016. In this role, they supervised 4-10 box office sellers, skimmed tills for money, verified final totals, and dropped off tills in the money room. Josh also used archtics and access manager to look up seat histories for will call purposes and to resolve any ticket scanning issues. Prior to Churchill Downs, Josh interned as a Ticket Sales Representative for the University of Louisville Athletics from August 2015 to December 2016. In this role, they provided the public with season, partial, and single game tickets to a variety of ticketed events. Josh also managed hundreds of customer relations accounts on CRM and generated over $85,000 of ticket revenue while working 15 hour weeks and making 40-50 calls per day.

Josh Heird has a degree in Sport Administration from the University of Louisville. Josh has worked in the sports administration field for their entire career.

They are on a team with Rehan Khan - Vice Provost and Chief Information Officer, Tom Miller - CEO, University of Louisville Health, and Kevin Gardner - Executive Vice President for Research and Innovation. Their manager is Lori Gonzalez, President.
