Greg Simms

Greg Simms is an experienced professional in sustainability and project management, currently serving as the Biocomposites Lab Manager and Technical Collaborations Coordinator at the University of Maine since November 2021. Previously, Greg held the position of Project Manager at Ecocor, LLC from October 2020 to September 2021, and served as Director of Innovation & Sustainability and Manager at Akron Rubber Development Laboratory, Inc. from February 2009 to October 2020. Greg also founded Simms Environmental LLC, providing strategic sustainable solutions as a Principal Consultant from July 2009 to July 2014. Greg's military background includes service as a Communications/Operations Officer in the United States Marine Corps from 1998 to 2009. Educational qualifications include an Executive MBA from Kent State University and a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science from the University of Maine.
