Atif Mahmood

Atif Mahmood is a seasoned professional in the fields of telecommunications and machine learning, currently serving as a Research Scholar and Project Lead at the University of Malaya since October 2018, where notable projects include exploring federated learning in 6G networks and optimizing wireless backhaul networks using deep learning algorithms. Concurrently, Atif has been a University Lecturer at the University of Central Punjab since October 2020, teaching subjects such as artificial intelligence and research methodology. Previous experience includes significant roles at ZTE, where responsibilities involved access transport network planning and optimization, and Andromeda Technologies, leading major network dismantling projects. At CMPak, Atif worked in core transmission and planning, contributing to the management and optimization of various transmission technologies. Academic credentials include a PhD in Machine Learning from the University of Malaya, complemented by a Master's and Bachelor's degree in related fields.
