Ken Smith

Ken Smith is a seasoned academic and professional with extensive experience in management and business education. Currently serving on the Board of Trustees at Covenant College since July 2023, Smith has held notable positions at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor since August 2015, where responsibilities include Professor of Management and Dean of the McLane College of Business. Prior to this, Smith was President of Geneva College from June 2004 to July 2015 and served as a Board Member for the Beaver County Educational Trust from 2012 to 2015. Additional academic roles include Associate Professor and Department Chair at Syracuse University’s Martin J. Whitman School of Management from August 1990 to May 2004, and Director of the Small Business Development Center at the University of Maryland from August 1986 to June 1988. Smith holds a Ph.D. in Business with a focus on Strategic Management from the University of Maryland, an MPIA in Economic and Social Development from the University of Pittsburgh, and a BSBA/BA in Business and Political Science from Geneva College.
