Michael Burns

Michael Burns currently serves as the Dean of Students at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor, a role held since June 2018. Prior to this position, Michael was the Director of Housing & Residence Life at Oklahoma City University, where responsibilities included overseeing housing operations, managing renovations, and enhancing student programming. Michael's extensive experience in higher education also includes roles such as Director of Residential Life at Oklahoma Baptist University, where leadership involved operational planning, staff management, and collaboration on retention and diversity initiatives. Michael holds a Ph.D. in Higher Education Administration from Oklahoma State University, an M.Ed. from the University of Oklahoma, and a B.A. in Biblical Languages from Oklahoma Baptist University.
