Legal Team

The Legal Team at the University of Maryland, Baltimore (UMB) is responsible for providing comprehensive legal support and guidance to the university. This encompasses overseeing compliance with laws and regulations, managing legal risks, handling litigation matters, offering counsel on contracts and agreements, and supporting governance and policy development. The team is comprised of experienced legal professionals, including the VP & General Counsel, Deputy General Counsel, multiple University Counsels, an Associate University Counsel, and a Lead Paralegal, all working collaboratively to safeguard the university's legal interests.
