Director Of Clinical Risk Management For Loss Prevention & Risk Mitigation at University of Maryland Faculty Physicians Incorporated

Ashley Mikhail has a diverse work experience in the healthcare industry. Ashley started their career as a Registered Nurse at MedStar Union Memorial Hospital in 2008, where they worked in the Telemetry/Cardiac Evaluation Unit until 2011. In 2010, they joined the University of Maryland Medical Center as a Clinical Nurse II in the Cardiac ICU and stayed there until 2014. Ashley then worked as a Nurse Liaison at Gilchrist Hospice Care for the year 2014. In 2015, Ashley joined the University of Maryland Faculty Physicians Incorporated, where they progressed through various roles over the years, starting as a Clinical Risk Manager, then becoming a Senior Clinical Risk Manager, and currently serving as the Director of Clinical Risk Management for Loss Prevention & Risk Mitigation.

Ashley Mikhail received their Master of Science in Jurisprudence degree with a dual concentration in Health & Hospital Law and Pharmaceutical & Medical Device Law from Seton Hall University School of Law. Ashley attended the school from 2020 to 2022.

Prior to their law degree, Ashley Mikhail obtained a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Stevenson University. Ashley completed their nursing degree from 2004 to 2008.

In addition to their academic achievements, Ashley Mikhail holds certifications in the healthcare field. Ashley obtained the Certified Professional in Healthcare Risk Management (CPHRM) certification from the American Society for Health Care Risk Management (ASHRM) in March 2018. In December 2012, they also acquired the Acute/Critical Care Knowledge Professional (Adult) (CCRN-K) certification from the AACN (American Association of Critical-Care Nurses).
