KerryAnn O'Meara is an accomplished academic and administrator with extensive experience in higher education. Currently serving as the Assistant to the Provost for Strategic Initiatives and Professor of Higher Education at the University of Maryland, O'Meara has held multiple significant positions, including Special Assistant to the President for Strategic Initiatives and Associate Dean for Faculty Affairs and Graduate Studies in the College of Education. O'Meara also acts as an ACE Fellow with the American Council on Education since May 2020. Prior roles include Director of the ADVANCE Program at the University of Maryland College Park and faculty at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. O'Meara's academic credentials include a PhD in Education Policy from the University of Maryland, a Master's degree in Higher Education Administration from The Ohio State University, and a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from Loyola University Maryland.
