Lina Castano

Lina Castano is a skilled engineer currently serving as a controls systems and algorithms engineer for the OSAM-1 project at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center, where autonomous maneuvers will be performed by a robot arm to dock with Landsat7. With extensive experience in aerospace engineering, Lina has also held positions at Intuitive Machines and SAIC within the same project framework. Previous roles include UAS Program Lead at Millennium Engineering and Integration, contributing to the development of autonomous flight management systems, as well as various research positions at the University of Maryland, focusing on unmanned systems and flight dynamics. Lina's academic background includes a Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Maryland, complemented by a Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering and a Bachelor's degree in Physics from Universidad del Valle.
