Raffaele Viglianti

Raffaele Viglianti is a Senior Research Software Developer at the Maryland Institute for Technology in the Humanities, where employment began in February 2013. Previously, Raffaele served as a Research Programmer at the same institute and as a Postgraduate Research Assistant in the Department of Digital Humanities at King's College London from February 2007 to January 2013. Raffaele possesses expertise in XML development, web development using Python, Django, and other technologies, as well as front-end development with HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript frameworks. Raffaele has also contributed to text encoding and data curation projects and has experience as a Teacher Assistant and Co-tutor for MA courses. Earlier, Raffaele worked as a Consultant for the "Epistolario Puccini" project at Centro Studi Giacomo Puccini in Lucca from 2006 to 2007. Academic credentials include a Ph.D. and an MA in Digital Humanities from King's College London, and a BA in Digital Humanities from Università di Pisa. Raffaele completed secondary education at Liceo Classico Dante Alighieri in Latina.
