Rustam Biswas

Rustam Biswas is an experienced professional currently serving as a member of the Committee on Committees and as a senator representing the Robert H. Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland University Senate. Additionally, Rustam holds several leadership roles within the Maryland Student Legislature, including President Pro Tempore and Governor, and is a member of the International Student Advisory Board, where advocacy for international student policies is a primary focus. Academic involvement includes roles as a Teaching Assistant for the Smith Business Leadership Fellows and previously as a KVPY Research Fellow at the Indian Institute of Science. Previous work experience includes positions such as Assistant Program Manager at the University of Maryland, Finance Accounting Intern at The SEED Foundation, and roles at the Indian Ministry of Finance. Rustam is pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Finance at the University of Maryland while also holding a degree in Engineering Science from the Indian Institute of Science.
