William Evans

William Evans is a seasoned music educator and director with extensive experience in the field. As the Artistic Director and Founder of the Sherwood Community Chamber Choir since September 2014, William has demonstrated leadership in choral music. Concurrently, William serves as a Lecturer and Director of Music Technology at the University of Maryland College Park, a position held since July 2001. William's career in education began at MCPS, where a teaching position was held from September 1979 until June 2016. Academically, William holds a Bachelor of Science in Music Education with a focus on Voice from PennWest Clarion and a Master of Music in Voice from the Peabody Conservatory of Music at Johns Hopkins University.
