Barb Murphy is a seasoned researcher with extensive experience in various academic and health-focused institutions. Currently serving as a researcher at MMResearch since August 2014, Barb also contributes as an Evaluation Committee External Consultant for the Mental Health Professionals Network since January 2009. In a long-standing role as Associate Director at the Australian Centre for Heart Health since August 2000, Barb holds honorary positions as a Senior Fellow in the Department of Psychology at the University of Melbourne and as a Conjoint Senior Lecturer at the University of Newcastle until October 2024. From January 2016 to August 2024, Barb was appointed as an Honorary Associate Professor at Deakin University and directed research at the Heart Research Centre from January 2006 to December 2015. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Psychology from The University of Melbourne and a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) from Swinburne University.
