David Israel is an experienced professional in educational strategy and technology commercialization. Currently serving as Executive Director of Global Education Strategy and Director of Educational Innovation and Commercial Development at the University of Melbourne since February 2014, David is a key member of the Provost's executive team, focusing on teaching, learning, assessment strategies, and the review of commercial opportunities. Previous roles at UniQuest involved managing a team dedicated to technology commercialization, as well as protecting and marketing intellectual property from the University of Queensland. Earlier career experiences include serving as CEO of EmployeeBank Australia, a dotcom startup, and Director of Continuing Education at the University of Adelaide. David holds a Master's degree in Tertiary Education Management from the University of Melbourne and a Bachelor's degree in History and Politics from the University of Adelaide.
