Elena K. Schneider-Futschik

Elena K. Schneider-Futschik is a seasoned academic and leader in the field of pharmacology and drug delivery, currently serving as an Executive Committee Member for the Thoracic Society of Australia and New Zealand and a Senior Research Fellow and Group Leader at the University of Melbourne. With a robust background in research, Elena has held multiple positions including Associate Editor at the American Chemical Society and Guest Editor for Frontiers, contributing to critical topics in cystic fibrosis. Elena's doctoral research focused on drug pharmacology, and Elena has participated in various significant committees and initiatives such as the American Society for Microbiology's Young Leaders Circle. Elena has also completed leadership training with Women & Leadership Australia and engaged in programs empowering Australian researchers through the CSIRO ON Prime initiative. Academic qualifications include a PhD from Monash University and a PharmD from Universität Innsbruck.
