Hannah McCann

Hannah McCann is a Senior Lecturer in Cultural Studies at the University of Melbourne, focusing on the theorization of femininity, queer femme subculture, and digital fan cultures. With extensive teaching experience, Hannah previously held positions as a Lecturer in Gender Studies at Melbourne, where courses covered topics such as sex, gender, and culture. Prior to that, Hannah served at the Australian National University, both as a Lecturer and as a Casual Sessional Lecturer and Tutor in various gender studies courses. Hannah's research roles include assisting projects related to women's emancipation and presenting complex theories surrounding gender and sexuality. Hannah McCann holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Sociology and a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) and Bachelor of Science from the Australian National University.
