Stan Skafidas

Stan Skafidas is a prominent academic and entrepreneur in the field of electronics, with extensive experience spanning various leadership roles. Since May 2010, Skafidas has served at the University of Melbourne as Acting Deputy Dean (Engagement), Associate Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology, and Professor, focusing on high-performance printable electronics and next-generation wireless medical technologies. Skafidas founded MX3 Diagnostics, Inc. in April 2017, aiming to enhance global health management through accessible diagnostics. Previous positions include Managing Director and Wireless Architect at AMD from May 2017 to December 2019, and Founder and Chief Scientist at Nitero, where innovative communication technologies were developed. Additionally, Skafidas led research initiatives at NICTA and founded Bandspeed, contributing significantly to the evolution of Bluetooth technology. Skafidas holds a Ph.D. and a BE in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Melbourne.
