After that, Linnay served as a Clinical Coordinator at Metro Health from October 2009 to June 2014. In June 2014, they were promoted to the position of Clinical Director, a role they held until June 2019. In June 2019, Linnay joined the University of Michigan Health-West as the Director of Medical Surgical Services, where they are currently employed.

Linnay Minnard completed an Associate's degree in Nursing from Kalamazoo Valley Community College in 2008. Linnay then went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree from Spring Arbor University between 2008 and 2010. In 2013, Linnay pursued further education at Spring Arbor University and received both a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree and a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree, both completed in 2015.
