Matthew Anderson is an accomplished engineering professional currently serving as Engineering Director, Systems Engineer, and Race Strategist for the University of Michigan Solar Car Team since September 2022. Previous experience includes internship in Systems Engineering & Vehicle Architecture at Tesla from May to August 2024 and roles as a Course Assistant for Math 201 and Proof Tutor for Math 217 at the University of Michigan's Department of Mathematics from January 2023 to May 2024. As a co-founder and developer at 10kreader from July to November 2022, Matthew contributed to the innovative platform found at 10kreader.com. Prior experience as a Data Engineer at tenfourWest from June 2018 to August 2020 complements an academic background, with a Bachelor of Science in Honors Mathematics expected from the University of Michigan in May 2025, following completion of secondary education at Cherry Creek High School in 2022.

University of Michigan Solar Car Team
The University of Michigan Solar Car Team is an entirely student-run organization, comprised of University students from a variety of majors and backgrounds. Founded in 1989, this team has built, tested, and raced 16 highly competitive solar-powered electric vehicles. The team races both nationally and internationally, regularly competing in two biannual solar races. The team has shared a podium finish with the most competitive teams in the world, finishing top-3 six times in the World Solar Challenge in Australia! Additionally, the team has won 9 national championships, including 5 of the 6 previous races. Because of this legacy, the team is recognized as the most successful team in North America.
