Neal Bhakta

Neal Bhakta is an experienced professional focused on alumni engagement and community service. Currently serving as the Assistant Director of Alumni Engagement at the University of Minnesota Alumni Association since November 2022, Neal previously held roles including Volunteer and Engagement Coordinator and Guest Service Representative at the Plymouth Community Center. Neal's background includes experience as a Children's Mental Health Case Manager at Headway Emotional Health Services, Extended Orientation Manager at Kirby Student Center, and Treasurer at Donut Connoisseurs of Duluth. Leadership experience is evident from serving as Student Body President and Vice President of Student Life at the University of Minnesota Duluth, where responsibilities included advocating for student issues and organizing initiatives such as mental health campaigns. Neal holds a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and Communications from the University of Minnesota Duluth, completed in 2021.
