Stergios Roumeliotis

Adjunct Professor at University of Minnesota

Stergios Roumeliotis is an accomplished professional in the fields of computer science and engineering, currently serving as a Director at Apple since August 2019 and as a Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the University of Minnesota since September 2002. Prior to these roles, Stergios was the Chief Scientist for Visual Inertial Systems at Google, contributing to Augmented Reality projects such as ARCore from January 2017 to July 2019. Additionally, Stergios completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the California Institute of Technology from September 2000 to August 2002. Stergios holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering from the University of Southern California, earned between 1995 and 2000, and a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens, obtained from 1989 to 1995.
