Joshua Sharp

Joshua Sharp holds the position of Triplett-Behrakis Endowed Professor and Director of the Glycoscience Center of Research Excellence (GlyCORE) at the University of Mississippi since June 2019. As a Principal Investigator, Joshua Sharp leads NIH-funded research focusing on glycoscience infrastructure and expertise. Previously, Joshua Sharp served as an Associate Professor of Chemistry and Biochemistry, and Pharmacology, where responsibilities included instructing on biochemistry and mass spectrometry while leading a research group on protein analysis techniques. Joshua Sharp has also held roles as Chief Technology Officer at GenNext Technologies, CEO at Photochem Technologies, and Associate Research Scientist at the University of Georgia, contributing to innovative research and product development in the field. Joshua Sharp earned a Ph.D. in Genome Science and Technology from Oak Ridge National Laboratory/The University of Tennessee and a B.S. in Microbiology from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
